To jointly welcome the real estate industry into the era of smart digitalisation, TÜV Rheinland and the BRE have initiated and created the BESTier Smart Building Partner Programme within the BESTi certification system for smart buildings. This programme, modelled on an industry ecosystem, is dedicated to continuously injecting leading industry thinking and innovation into the BESTi smart building evaluation standards. It incorporates valuable lessons from outstanding smart building projects both domestically and internationally, promoting exchanges on smart building topics and sharing advanced technologies within the industry, thereby collectively iterating and optimising the smart evaluation tools needed to support the low-carbon transformation of the construction industry.
The BESTier programme is planned and managed by TÜV Rheinland and the BRE, with specific work led and organised by an international expert working group. Depending on the industry responsibilities and divisions of partners (currently only open to companies and institutions), there are three sub-working groups: the Design Consulting Working Group, Equipment Systems Working Group, and Operations Management Working Group. This partnership programme aims to promote exchanges and integration in the smart building industry through the organisation and planning of industry seminars, as well as organising experts and enterprises to conduct investigations and research activities on exemplary cases and best practices.

Each member of the BESTier partner programme is not only a participant but also a planner of the programme. While enjoying various privileges such as technical priority, qualification priority, fee priority, and supplier entry priority, participants also act as promoters of the industry. Together, let us infuse smart living into application scenarios, guide smart design through certification, and collaboratively design, build, and operate perceptible, interactive, and future-oriented smart buildings.
