Measures taken to beat the virus

TÜV Rheinland Greater China is treating the developing situation with the utmost seriousness. We have promptly initiated a series of special measures as follows:

  • Globally sourced protection clothes and masks and arranged shipments to Greater China offices. A monitoring team formed by the regional management with support from HQ has defined and taken specific actions to support the combat of the epidemic and best protect the health of every colleague upon returning to work.
  • Globally issued travel ban to and from China until further notice. Within Greater China regions, the travels will strictly follow the location government guidelines. Issued immediate guidance to all colleagues on preventive measures that should take to protect themselves.
  • Introduced a requirement for all colleagues to self-report immediately to the firm in the event that they are diagnosed as either suspected of, or confirmed as, having with the Coronavirus.
  • To our colleagues, we have management notice, office management updates and internal communication channels to ensure all related policies, progress and measures are transparently communicated.
  • Special measures taken such as digitalized inspection/audit to ensure part of the onsite work can be done remotely. For special on-site visit needs, our HSE officer will review the risks of our employee and we will also do the customer venue assessment.

We apologize for any inconvenience thus caused and thank you for your understanding of the need to take such measures at a crucial time like this. Please feel free to contact your program managers/key account managers for further questions, assistance and project arrangements. As we continue to monitor the situation, we will provide further updates as necessary.

Together with our clients, we will overcome the difficulties!
